I had the privilege of spending a few days in Argentina and Brazil last week presenting on all things SQL Developer.
It turns out, they enjoy the very same tricks that folks everywhere else do – especially the split editors and multiple tab groups.
Here’s what I’m talking about.
![You can click-drag, or right click to split a document.](https://www.thatjeffsmith.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/11/split_editors.gif)
This works for tables too!
![I split the editor, then pulled open the Data tab up top and the new Model tab on the bottom](https://www.thatjeffsmith.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/04/modules.png)
So that’s cool. Now let’s show you how to view multiple files/objects/documents/windows at once.
![How to see more than one thing at a time!](https://www.thatjeffsmith.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/11/tab_group_float.gif)
So, you can use this trick to see two different tables, side by side for example.
