I loved my job at Quest Software. I loved the people, the technology, and usually our customers! I got paid to talk and think and write. But that chapter of my life closed last week. There were so many friends and close acquaintances I made over the last decade that it was impossible for me to reach out to all of them. So I hope if you are reading this now, you’ll know how grateful I feel for all the help and support over the years.

So thanks to the support reps, developers, product marketers and managers, systems consultants, domain experts, travel and expense admins who made it a real pleasure to come to work each and every day (well, to my home office.)

My managers were always super-supportive and looked after me as a person first. I was able to transition from one career path to another all while at Quest – a hugely awesome experience.

Without all of this, I would not have had the opportunity to take the open the next chapter of my life and career. So thanks to everyone, and I’m sure we’ll cross paths soon.

  1. Jeff, so, you did actually keep that quiet then! I saw absolutely nothing on the Toad lists! You must have thought you could sneak out the back way when we weren’t looking! (Well, that’s what I’d do anyway!)

Good luck at Oracle, I’ll miss your humour and knowledge on the Toad lists.

    Cheers,
Norm. [TeamT] <— But you knew that! 😉

PS. Do I win the prize for overuse of exclamation marks?

Yeah, I didn’t know of a good way to say ‘Goodbye’ on the list w/o making it ‘all about me.’ You can still find my humor, just somewhere else!

  2. Good luck, Jeff! Thanks for all the help and support you’ve given me with Toad – it’s been very much appreciated!

Now, what are you going to help me with next?! *huuuuuge wink*

I only change jobs once every 10 years, so I gotta milk this thing for all its worth!
